Late to the Party

With a trip to a far away city to celebrate my mother and sister's birthdays a little over a week away, I decided I'd knit my mom the (justifiably famous) swallowtail shawl. While the shawl isn't quite on its merry way yet (what do you mean Canada Post is closed on Sundays??) I hoped that she could enjoy some photos of it before it lands on her doorstep next week.

Gorgeous, gorgeous Valerie. What an exquisite gift for your mom.
I love your dress, too. I've been looking forever for one like it. ;)

That is so beautiful. I love the lacey green feeling, it looks like a shawl made of moss. :) By the way I love your blog here. It's winsome and enjoyable. Keep posting and happy knitting.

Ps. I'm aspiring to make the Snowdrop Legwarmers pattern of yours (I'm so excited!) but I need to know -- how much yarn did you use?
