Écharpe d'alpaga

Ouf, ça fait un bon bout de temps que je n’ai pas posté, en dépit de tout le bricolage qui se passe chez nous de ces temps-ci!
En janvier j’ai terminé l’écharpe pour ma mère, tricotée d’une laine canadienne (Americo Baby Dehaired Llama), qu’elle avait choisie à la boutique Wool N’ Things à Orléans. Le patron est l'excellent Gathered Scarf de Maryse Roudier.

Lors du blocage, l’odeur du fil mouillé m’a surprise, mais on m’a dit que c’est normal pour la laine de lama. L’écharpe a à peine requis les deux pelotes, mais j’ignore quoi faire avec les restes!

I finally finished my mother’s scarf, from a yarn she picked out at Wool N’ Things in Orleans during one of my visits home. The pattern is Maryse Roudier’s Gathered Scarf and the lovely (Canadian!) wool is Americo Baby Dehaired Llama. This stuff is SO soft. The only drawback is the strong smell it emits when wet, but I’ve been told that’s the norm for most llama/alpaca yarns. I should probably warn mom in case she ever decides to wash it!
